Opening my email is always a bit of an adventure.
On any given day I’ll see an email from Vitamin V, another from Suzanne at Read-It-First, and if I’m lucky, an update from Carolyne Roehm.
Recently, I had one of those days.
I first fell for Ms. Roehm’s styling ideas when I borrowed a copy of “Presentations, A Passion For Gift Wrapping” from the local public library. I loved the layout of the book, and the photographs were eye candy.
After finding myself at her website a few times I opted to be “added to her address book” – her website’s phrasing, not mine, but so much nicer than the usual invitation to be on an email list – and I’ve never regretted the decision. There has yet to be an update that hasn’t had me visiting each and every page, drinking in the photos, and feeling utterly content by the end. I’ve even kept a few of the recipes for future use.
Unlike some of the other newsletters I’ve received in the past, this one fits my idea that it should act as a provider of inspiration, not just of wares. There are several items and suggestions that have acted as catalysts for me, things I wouldn’t have thought of otherwise. Check her out – she might inspire you too.

I subscribe to Vitamin V as well (you can take the girl out of the city but . . .) and based on your lovely review, I’ve thrown my e-mail into the ring and subscribed to the aforementioned newsletter.
Dropped by to see if you’re posting a new TT – continuing on your journey through the alphabet perhaps?
Have a great weekend, XINE
