woke up this morning with a sniffle. Mind you, the sniffle wasn’t mine, but that of the cat lying next to my head, cautiously investigating whether or not I was lucid enough to feed her.
Well, maybe I should rephrase that to a snuffle.
A gentle tug reminded me of her new habit of wrapping her paws in my hair, and I used it as an excuse to stay in bed just a leeetle while longer. When I finally did drag myself away, said snuffler opted to stay where she was, stretching luxuriantly in the way only a self-satisfied cat can.
I very much wanted to trade spots.
The good news is that my girl seems to be recovering nicely from her dental surgery, and she and the Yowler aren’t constantly at each other. She isn’t particularly fond of her banana-flavoured antibiotic, but only puts up a minimum of fuss when it’s time to have it.
I like to think that she’s aware that this is helping her get better, but more than likely she just doesn’t see the point in fighting with me and losing valuable nap time.
Yes, life is returning to normal here at Casa Nota Bene.
